All components (leathers, textiles, laces, foams, and threads) and the entire shoe construction itself are precisely coordinated and subjected to regular quality inspections.

The roots of today’s Schoeller Textil AG are anchored in an environment of new beginnings. The 1860s saw the emergence of such organizations as the Swiss Red Cross and such architectural achievements as the Gotthard Tunnel. This pioneering age also saw the establishment of our company: In 1868, Rudolph Schoeller moved from Breslau to Zürich and set up Switzerland’s first worsted yarn spinning mill in Schaffhausen with the name” Schoeller & Söhne,” the origin of today’s Schoeller Textil AG.


The all in one soft-shell:

The soft-shell classic for year-round use. Two textile surfaces are bonded with a highly breathable coating in a special process. The coating in the middle ensures additional protection from wind and water. This produces soft-shell fabrics for the most varied of requirements and for every season.

Construction:
The elastic, water- and wind repelling, woven fabric surfaces consist of synthetic fibres.
The middle layer – a functional coating – ensures insulation and a high level of wind protection.
The extremely breathable interior varies depending on the intended area of use.
Outside: hard-wearing rain, snow and water repellent stretch fabric.
Mid: functional coating offers insulation and excellent wind protection.
Inside: soft, skin-friendly and extremely breathable material.

A mountaineering boot, for ice falls and high-altitude use developed in collaboration with Asolo testers’ team, for mountaineering use on 4 seasons.

OUTSIDE GAITER:

Stretch nylon outer gaiter combined with neoprene lining, waterproof zipper and heat-sealed seams and PU lateral protection.




THE SHELL:

Nylon Cordura inner boot with webbing lacing system while the Schoeller Soft Shell is used on collar, lateral flex point and gusset and the Gore-Tex Insulated Comfort Footwear lining + Gore-Tex Zamba stretch lining on the gusset lower part. Heat sealed seams.

THE OUTSOLE TECHNOLOGY:

The sole is made with Vibram Mulaz outsole while the microporous midsole offers maximum lightweight and insulation and the TPU attachments to adapt automatic crampons.

In 1935, tragedy drives Vitale Bramani to develop an outsole capable of excellent traction on mixed surfaces. Using vulcanized rubber technology, he developed the Carrarmato design. The design was soon famous. Even today, it remains one of the most used soles by mountain climbers. Asolo’s footwear are made using outsole designed by Asolo and made by Vibram.
